Multi Parts Supply Collaborates With
Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium on Industry Scholarships
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce that Multi Parts Supply (MPS®) will provide one $2,500 scholarship per year for the next four years, for a total of $10,000 in scholarship funds.
“We are pleased to be partnering with GAAS on this important industry endeavor. We hope our scholarship will provide much needed assistance to students planning automotive aftermarket careers,” said Ira Davis, vice president, supply chain management and marketing of MPS®. Multi Parts Supply is a multinational auto parts supplier and supply chain management organization to the co-manufacturer market.
“We are very proud to have Multi Parts Supply as another collaborating organization. Their contribution further enhances the value offered by the GAAS scholarship program as a ‘one stop shop’ for automotive scholarships,” said Pete Kornafel, chairman of the GAAS Scholarship Selection Committee.
In order to qualify for the scholarship an applicant must be:
- Enrolled in a full-time, 4 year college-level program such as engineering, manufacturing, marketing and business.
- Graduate programs do not qualify.
- Planning a career in the Automotive Aftermarket
- Focused in one or more of the following disciplines: manufacturing, marketing, project management, supply chain management, customer relations, IT, finance, logistics and general management. Special consideration will be given to students seeking a career in international business.
Applicants at the automotive scholarships’ Web site, www.AutomotiveScholarships.com, who meet the criteria, will now be placed in consideration for one $2,500 MPS® International Aftermarket Scholarship Fund award to be presented in 2011.

John LaSalle, has joined Multi Parts Supply USA INC. (MPS®), a multinational auto parts supplier to the co-manufacturer market, as Program Manager. “With almost 15 years in the automotive parts field, LaSalle’s extensive product, sales and operations experience have really prepared him for his new role with MPS®”, according to Ira Davis, VP Supply Chain Management & Marketing. “As program Manager LaSalle’s primary responsibility will be the ‘cradle to grave’ development, marketing, supply chain and sales of the company’s growing fuel systems program. He will coordinate the efforts of our US engineering and quality lab, as well as our facilities in Taiwan, China and Europe to ensure that we are using all MPS’® fuel systems resources to best service our customers.” LaSalle is a graduate of Northwood University, West Palm Beach and will now be returning to the area with his wife and two children to work from MPS® North American headquarters. Multi Parts Supply USA Inc. offers the broadest range of the latest Generation of wheel hubs from its Hangzhou China plant. With over 400 skus in its range the company provides TUV TS16949 manufacturing and development quality utilizing the latest cellular manufacturing processes.
Each hub in its program is design engineered to meet vehicle specific requirements for performance and safety. Quality products are manufactured from superior components including high carbon steel forgings; fluorine injected rubber seals, DuPont ® nylon retainers, and globally recognized grease to ensure the highest endurance and product longevity. Every detail is attended to including in-house computer controlled heat treatment, carburization and induction hardening, hardness profile acid wash and benchmark to OE heat profile measurement, as well as crack resistant ABS cables, 100% pull test inspection of each sensor, before and after installation and 100% inspection of ABS sensor function after assembly.
Biaxial load endurance is measured under varying temperatures and salt spray, vibration and noise are also checked using the latest computer controlled equipment. Specifications of each unit are designed to meet or exceed original designs.
In addition to wheel hubs the company also offers a wide range of wheel bearing kits including the essential components to perform the complete repair, the first time and every time.

MPS expands range of North American wheel hubs, wheel bearing kits for Europe
Multi Parts Supply USA Inc. announced the availability of over 200 wheel hub units for North American, European, Japanese and Korean vehicles. MPS is the leader in coverage of high quality wheel hub units and also offers an extensive range of wheel bearings. The company has also developed an extensive range of wheel bearing kits for the European market.
The company noted that its Generation III wheel hubs follow the original design and consist of integral bearings, not press fits like many other aftermarket versions on the market. All units are tested to the original specification and in several cases have been re-engineered to address deficiencies in the original design.

Ningbo Auto Mall hosts Expansive Multi Parts Product Display
Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, September 1, 2007: Multi Parts Supply announced the opening of its 105 square meter exhibit space at the Ningbo Auto Mall in the Jiangdong District of Ningbo City. The exhibition hall, which is open 365 days per year display’s the company’s vast assortment of “core” and “non-core” products which are developed and sold globally. Among those products featured are a variety of brake and clutch hydraulics products, wheel hub units, chassis components and fuel pumps and modules.
The company also exhibited at the CAPA show, hosted in the same exhibition center building, being held September 13-15th 2007. The company welcomes all to visit us at the CAPA show during this period, or year round at our Mall location room numbers 3146 and 3147.

Expanded Control Arm Program offered by Multi Parts
Palm Beach, Florida and Minsk, Republic of Belarus, August 15,2007: Multi Parts Supply announced the expansion of its control arm program covering over 600 different part numbers applicable to the North American and European Markets. The applications cover everything from Acura to Zastava.
Products are developed at TS16949 factories using the latest laser scanning technology along with CMM and Auto-CAD. Materials and components are subjected to chemical and micro-structure analysis to assure product integrity and performance. Control arms are tested for hardness, wear strength, pull out and pull down strength, axial and radial torque, salt spray, fatigue, abrasion and endurance.

MULTI PARTS SUPPLY OPENS NEW CHINA FACILITY
Palm Beach, FL, MARCH 27, 2007: Multi Parts Supply Inc. (MPS) a multinational product development, engineering and supply chain management organization recently announced the grand opening of its technical center, assembly and distribution facility in Pingyang, China. The facility was built as a Zhejiang government-private partnership in a high-tech industrial park with over 1 million square feet of building area of which MPS currently occupies 100,000 square feet. The new facility houses MPS’ test laboratory, quality control department, light assembly and packaging operation.
The company, Multi Parts Supply, has its North American headquarters and technical and quality control laboratory in Florida and maintains sales offices in New York and Europe. The company’s Asian headquarters is in Taipei, Taiwan with engineering, development and logistics support in Zhuhai, China. MPS currently employs more than 55 people globally and is in the process of expanding its global staff in conjunction with the opening of the new facility.
